Caroline Richardson

Caroline Richardson is a Wiltshire based portrait and still-life artist working in oils.

She started painting professionally in 2014, after working as a graphic designer for the best part of 20 years. Her degree is in design rather than fine art, but over the last few years she has trained intermittently with tutors from the Charles H Cecil atelier in Florence and more recently, the London Atelier of Representational Art.

Caroline believes it is important to keep learning and seek improvement in her work all the time.

Whilst she paints in a traditional style, her subject matter reflects modern life. Most of her time is occupied by figurative and portrait work, but she very much enjoys still-life painting, and more recently has been experimenting with floral compositions.
