Terry Evans

Born in 1943 in Romford, Essex, Terry Evans initially painted for his own satisfaction. After experimenting with water-colour and acrylics, he finally tried oils. This was a turning point for Terry as he found the expressive freedom he’d been searching for in paint that remained workable for days. A second breakthrough came when he started using oils to paint landscapes. Buoyed by a marked increase in interest from collectors, he turned professional.

Generously loading his canvases with oil paint, lavishly applied with gusto, his impasto landscapes are the defining hallmark of Terry’s work.

Exhibiting in his own one-man shows in New York, Miami, Singapore and London and elsewhere, Terry’s works have been collected by the Russian Ambassador to London, Barclays Bank and the Queen of Ghadaf.

Terry Evans lives on the South Coast, painting every day.
